NOTE: We apologize for the fact that this event conflicts with the Monroe Township meeting. We had already put a deposit down at the time that the Monroe Township meeting was rescheduled. We encourage Monroe residents to attend the Monroe Township meeting; our town hall will be recorded for future viewing. We would love to see everyone else at our town hall to help draw attention to this issue on a larger scale.

The Stewards of Cumberland County will host an informational Data Center Panel at the Carlisle Theater on June 11, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:00).

This event responds to growing public demand across the county for a clear, unbiased forum where residents can ask questions and hear directly from experts about the impacts of hyperscale data center development in Central Pennsylvania. Topics will include community impacts; zoning and land use policy; water usage, sourcing, and permitting; electrical infrastructure and grid demand; and long-term implications for local municipalities.

Panelists will include subject matter experts on data centers, water resources, energy and climate, and the legislative environment surrounding data centers. Panelists will not include anyone affiliated with the existing data center build in Middlesex Township, ensuring an independent and fact-based discussion.

Questions will be fielded throughout the session with a focus on making complex topics accessible and relevant to residents. Attendance is free, and prior registration is not required.

This event is funded by a small group of concerned residents of Cumberland County who believe this forum is critical to the future of our county.
